Place 1 cup (185g) wild rice, 1.5 cup (375ml) cold water, a pinch of salt, and 1 teaspoon olive oil in instant pot pressure cooker.

When the cumin seeds start to splutter, add rice and stir them with the whole spices for about 30 seconds. Pour in vegetable stock and stir it around. Add the rice and salt and stir to combine. Serve with egg noodles, rice or polenta.

Place rice and water in the pressure cooker: Heat the instant pot in sauté mode and add ghee or oil to it. This pressure cooker chicken and rice is a one pot dish made with boneless, skinless chicken thighs but you can also use chicken breast.

When beep sounds turn off pressure cooker and use a natural pressure release for 10 minutes. Close and lock the lid of the pressure cooker. Place a cup of wild rice into a colander, rinse under cold water, and drain.
Turn off the heat and let the pressure reduce naturally for 10 minutes, then release the remaining pressure manually. In the inner pot of your instant pot pressure cooker combine the rice, milk, water, sugar, anise, cinnamon, raisins and salt. Close and lock the lid.
Just make sure the rice is evenly distributed. Set manual pressure for 5 minutes. Then add the whole spices and cumin seeds.
Select your pressure cooking time. If it needs a bit more time repeat the pressure cooking process for a cook time of 2 minutes and rapidly release the pressure. Quick release remainder of pressure.
Pour a small amount of the broth into the pot and scrape bottom to deglaze.
